Paris!

Yes! I'm alive!

So sorry for the radio silence, guys! I hope you haven't given up on me! I took a break from blogging to focus on my thesis. I haven't finished it yet, but I miss blogging a lot. Only one solution for that: go work on that thesis girl! post an update anyway.

A few months ago (last december) was my best friend's birthday. I took her with me on a surprise shopping trip to Paris. Both of us have been to Paris a few times before, so museum visits were not on our to do list. Our goal: get Steph a classy party outfit! We did some research the evening before our departure. We searched Google for 'neighborhood shopping Paris vintage' and Le Marais district was the answer. And we loved it!

We hopped on a bus in the middle of the night and arrived in Paris early in the morning. After taking the metro to st. Paul, we had coffee and croissants (yum!) at a bistro. Then it was SHOPPING TIME! Some friendly businessmen we met at the bistro gave us some names of the best shopping streets and off we went. And we got lost. Very lost. But isn't getting lost the best way to find 'hidden' gems? We found a lot of vintage stores, where I made my first vintage purchase! I also bought a wool plaid scarf and now wear it everyday. We spent the entire day shopping and drinking wine in beautiful le Marais. When the sun went down and the shops closed, it was time to go home again.

What I'm wearing
Coat: H&M / Coated pants: Bella Ragazza via The Sting / Biker boots: Poelman / Bag: Disneyland.

As you can see, I got a haircut. A lot of hair was chopped off because of my lack of visual spatial skills. I told the hairdresser to cut off 15 cm, which in my mind equals the length of my index finger. I'm not kidding. On the upside, curling my hair is easier and doesn't take a lot of time!

Stephany has a serious bag addiction. She couldn't resist these cute patent leather babies and brought a black one home with her. And below's a blurry pic of us happy campers

Thank you for reading!
